My research project involves exploring oxide-supported olefin metathesis catalysis derived from perrhenate and methyltrioxorhenium supported on various oxides and preparation of other organorhenium complexes which can then be grafted onto the oxide surfaces to create well-defined active sites. Synthesis of
compounds that can be used as
synthons in the generation of larger metal clusters and chains which
display interesting solid-state and solution properties that can be of
relevance to the chemistry of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis
is also my current research interest. |
