Turbulence in microbreaking wind generated waves

Using DPIV to visual the turbulence in in microbreaking wind generated waves. Learning about the way the waves break will provide information on the process by which it is thought most of the heat and mass transfer to the ocean occurs.

Experience Prior Research Experience with musical instruments, specifically clarinets. Using LDA and Hot Wire anemometry to quantify the pressure fluctuations and velocity field in the mouthpieces of these instruments for the benefit of sound production.
